Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Morning Sale, which included the work Berkshire Landscape, Boat Landing by James Weeks. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,542.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by James Weeks have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2019 the work Bay Excursion #2 was auctioned for USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,704.15).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Morning Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Berkshire Landscape, Boat Landing von James Weeks zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 29.542,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von James Weeks konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2019 die Arbeit Bay Excursion #2 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.704,15) versteigert.
