Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Weeks could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors: Fine Art Online auction, the work Sacred Dance changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,106.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Weeks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bay Excursion #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,704.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von James Weeks konnte im Juni 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors: Fine Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Sacred Dance für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.106,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Weeks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bay Excursion #2 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.704,15).
