Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the Indian Trail 28 x 34 in. framed 37 x 42 in. by James Swinnerton was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,328.00 (€ 3,050.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by James Swinnerton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kiva in the desert in April last year with an auction result of USD 14,025.00 (€ 13,310.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On the Indian Trail 28 x 34 in. framed 37 x 42 in. von James Swinnerton kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.328,00 (€ 3.050,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Swinnerton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kiva in the desert im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.025,00 (€ 13.310,24).
