Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Near Indio by James Swinnerton was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,346.90). Admittedly, works by James Swinnerton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kiva in the desert in April last year with an auction result of USD 14,025.00 (€ 13,310.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Near Indio von James Swinnerton wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.346,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Swinnerton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kiva in the desert im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.025,00 (€ 13.310,24).
