Albion; S.S. St. Sunniva; S.S. Lady Hudson Kinahan; S.S. Jelunga; S.S. Oriental; P.S. Cambria; And P.S. Westward Ho sold for GBP 836.50 (€ 1,218.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 400.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Scott Maxwell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two albums of watercolours of ship portraits including; The American steamships St Paul and Haverford (one illustrated); and The American yacht Erl King, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,633.92).
