Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans Titre by James Rielly. The price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Rielly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Random Acts of Kindness in February 2002 with an auction result of GBP 21,737.50 (€ 35,473.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre von James Rielly zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Rielly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Random Acts of Kindness im Februar 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.737,50 (€ 35.473,45).
