Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2014 Christies in London held the auction First Open/LDN, which included the work Sensible Ways by James Rielly. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 16,055.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Rielly - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Random Acts of Kindness, which sold at auction in February 2002 for GBP 21,737.50 (€ 35,473.45).
