Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Riverside Track by James Riddel was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,922.44). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Riddel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a lady, seated three-quarter-length, in a white dress and black coat, in an interior, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,993.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Riverside Track von James Riddel kam im März 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.922,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von James Riddel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, seated three-quarter-length, in a white dress and black coat, in an interior beobachtet, die im November 2000 für GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.993,28) versteigert wurde.
