Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Gate To The Highlands by James Paterson was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in September 2019. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,104.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Paterson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Green Jug in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 56,708.38).

Die Arbeit The Gate To The Highlands von James Paterson wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.104,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Paterson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Green Jug im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 56.708,38).
