Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work Windsor Castle, Berkshire, From The South-East by James Miller. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,706.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by James Miller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Dean'S Yard, Westminster, London in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,103.61).
