Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Charing Cross, London, showing the various buildings around the square, many of which are identified by James Miller was sold in the British Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,750.00 (€ 8,051.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by James Miller have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2005 the work View of Dean'S Yard, Westminster, London was auctioned for GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,103.61).
