Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior With A Monkey On A Table With A Plate Of Hazelnuts by James Miller was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,142.00 (€ 2,361.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by James Miller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Dean'S Yard, Westminster, London in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,103.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Interior With A Monkey On A Table With A Plate Of Hazelnuts von James Miller kam im September 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.142,00 (€ 2.361,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Miller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of Dean'S Yard, Westminster, London im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.103,61).
