It achieved a price of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,150.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Admittedly, works by James Leakey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lieutenant-Colonel W. George Collier, facing right in scarlet coat of the Coldstream Guards, with gold bordered blue collar and facings, gold epaulettes, white cross sash with gilt-metal oval plate, white shirt and black stock, curling light brown ha in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,869.12).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Leakey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lieutenant-Colonel W.
