Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Dimanche Matin by James Tissot was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,369.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Tissot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Visit To The Yacht (La Visite Au Navire) in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,210,500.00 (€ 2,658,888.67).
