The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,210,500.00 (€ 2,658,888.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Visit To The Yacht (La Visite Au Navire) is the most expensive artwork by James Tissot that we have observed at auctions so far.
