A top price for James E. Allen - as previously expected
In February 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work The Builders (Ryan 62) by James E. Allen. The price achieved of USD 3,107.00 (€ 2,882.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Builders (Ryan 62) is the most expensive artwork by James E. Allen that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Februar 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Builders (Ryan 62) von James E. Allen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.107,00 (€ 2.882,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Builders (Ryan 62) das teuerste Kunstwerk von James E. Allen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
