Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Sinking Of The Titanic by James Dixon was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2017. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,256.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Dixon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self Portrait in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 19,699.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Sinking Of The Titanic von James Dixon kam im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.256,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Dixon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self Portrait im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.750,00 (€ 19.699,14).
