In October 2021 Christies held the auction Photographs, which included the work Four Flooded Arches from Right with Fog, 1999 by James Casebere. The result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,596.95) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Casebere achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arcade in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 55,411.90).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Flooded Arches from Right with Fog, 1999 von James Casebere zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.596,95) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Casebere erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arcade im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 55.411,90).
