Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Barrel-Vaulted Room (from the 'Prison' series) by James Casebere was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,088.00 (€ 983.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Casebere achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arcade in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 55,411.90).

Die Arbeit A Barrel-Vaulted Room (from the 'Prison' series) von James Casebere kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.088,00 (€ 983,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
