Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Arch With Figure, Rome, 1850S by James Anderson. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,500.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Anderson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Rome from the French Academy, Monte Pincio in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,830.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arch With Figure, Rome, 1850S von James Anderson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.500,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Anderson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of Rome from the French Academy, Monte Pincio im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.830,20).
