Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Phillips in Bidding Closes held the auction Unbound: Online Auction, which included the work Untitled (Hat Guys) by Jamel Shabazz. It changed hands for a price of USD 688.00 (€ 614.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamel Shabazz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Boys Wearing New Wave Sunglasses) Signed And Numbered 'Jamel Shabazz 8/9' (On The Reverse) Gelatin Silver Print 16 X 20 In. (40.6 X 50.8 Cm.) Executed In 1984. This Work Is Number Eight From An Edition of Nine. Untitled (Two Guys On A Subw in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,480.71).

Im April 2019 führte Phillips in Bidding Closes die Auktion Unbound: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Hat Guys) von Jamel Shabazz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 688,00 (€ 614,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamel Shabazz erzielen.
