Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jamal Ahmed could be acquired at Bonhams in Sydney in August this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online auction, the work Untitled (Four Figures) changed hands for GBP 256.00 (€ 299.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamal Ahmed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Bathing) in March this year with an auction result of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,191.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jamal Ahmed konnte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Sydney für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Four Figures) für GBP 256,00 (€ 299,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamal Ahmed erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Bathing) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.191,23).
