Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Untitled (Figure 1) by Jamal Ahmed was worth GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,283.86) to a buyer in July last year. This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 600.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jamal Ahmed; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Bathing) sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,191.23).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Figure 1) von Jamal Ahmed war einem Käufer im Juli letzten Jahres GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.283,86) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online bei Bonhams in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 um ein Vielfaches.
