Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Birds in the Corner) by Jamal Ahmed was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online auction at Bonhams in Sydney in August this year. The price achieved of GBP 256.00 (€ 299.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamal Ahmed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Bathing) in March this year with an auction result of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,191.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Birds in the Corner) von Jamal Ahmed wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online bei Bonhams in Sydney versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 256,00 (€ 299,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamal Ahmed erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Bathing) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.191,23).
