Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Going for Fishing by Jamal Ahmed was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online auction at Bonhams in Sydney in August this year. The price achieved of GBP 704.00 (€ 822.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jamal Ahmed - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Bathing), which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,191.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Going for Fishing von Jamal Ahmed wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online bei Bonhams in Sydney versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 704,00 (€ 822,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jamal Ahmed mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Bathing) beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.191,23) versteigert wurde.
