Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Femmes Dans Une Serre by Jacques Lagrange. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,563.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques Lagrange - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arbres Et Maisons - 1954, which sold at auction in March 2018 for EUR 5,070.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femmes Dans Une Serre von Jacques Lagrange zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.563,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques Lagrange mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Arbres Et Maisons - 1954 beobachtet, die im März 2018 für EUR 5.070,00 versteigert wurde.
