In the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work A Carriage Being Repaired At The Entrance Of A Village sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,608.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques François Joseph Swebach-Desfontaines have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Military Encampment At The Edge Of A Forest in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,930.36).
