In June 2012 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work Trois Léopardsjacques-Charles Oudry ; The Three Leopards ; Oil On Canvas by Jacques-Charles Oudry. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 42,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jacques-Charles Oudry have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2015 the work Dogs In A Landscape With Their Catch was auctioned for USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,447.19).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 42.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
