However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques Antoine Marie Lemoine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Elisabeth-Louise Vigée-Lebrun reading a letter seated in a garden, which sold at auction in January 2001 for USD 25,850.00 (€ 27,771.81).
