Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait Of A Lady by Jacques Antoine Marie Lemoine was sold in the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II auction at Sothebys in London in July 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,548.29). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques Antoine Marie Lemoine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Elisabeth-Louise Vigée-Lebrun reading a letter seated in a garden, which sold at auction in January 2001 for USD 25,850.00 (€ 27,771.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady von Jacques Antoine Marie Lemoine wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.548,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques Antoine Marie Lemoine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Elisabeth-Louise Vigée-Lebrun reading a letter seated in a garden beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für USD 25.850,00 (€ 27.771,81) versteigert wurde.
