Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Part I, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady Feeding A Parrot, Circa 1785 by Jacques Antoine Marie Lemoine. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,291.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques Antoine Marie Lemoine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Elisabeth-Louise Vigée-Lebrun reading a letter seated in a garden in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 27,771.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady Feeding A Parrot, Circa 1785 von Jacques Antoine Marie Lemoine zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.291,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques Antoine Marie Lemoine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Elisabeth-Louise Vigée-Lebrun reading a letter seated in a garden im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 27.771,81).
