Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Portrait Of A Nobleman by Jacopo Robusti. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 181,250.00 (€ 208,011.49). Admittedly, works by Jacopo Robusti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,609,250.00 (€ 2,044,570.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Nobleman von Jacopo Robusti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 181.250,00 (€ 208.011,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacopo Robusti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.609.250,00 (€ 2.044.570,24).
