It achieved a price of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 132,914.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo Robusti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,609,250.00 (€ 2,044,570.24).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Nobleman In Armour, Standing Three Quarter Length, Beside Him His Helmet von Jacopo Robusti wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 132.914,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacopo Robusti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.609.250,00 (€ 2.044.570,24).
