Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Portrait Of A Bearded Man In A Black Robe With Fur by Jacopo Robusti. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 97,837.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo Robusti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,609,250.00 (€ 2,044,570.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Bearded Man In A Black Robe With Fur von Jacopo Robusti zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 97.837,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacopo Robusti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.609.250,00 (€ 2.044.570,24).
