This work of art by Jacopo Ligozzi could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Old Masters auction, the work The Abduction Of The Sabine Women changed hands for USD 274,000.00 (€ 252,954.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacopo Ligozzi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Turbanned Pasha With An Elephant, which sold at auction in July 2009 for GBP 529,250.00 (€ 600,540.11).
