Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper, which included the work A Knight, Half Length, Wearing Armour And An Elaborate Plumed Helmet by Jacopo Ligozzi. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,038.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo Ligozzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Turbanned Pasha With An Elephant in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 529,250.00 (€ 600,540.11).

Im Juli 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Knight, Half Length, Wearing Armour And An Elaborate Plumed Helmet von Jacopo Ligozzi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 35.038,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacopo Ligozzi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Turbanned Pasha With An Elephant im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 529.250,00 (€ 600.540,11).
