Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Susanna and the Elders by Jacopo Ligozzi was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2005. The price achieved of USD 24,000.00 (€ 18,392.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo Ligozzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Turbanned Pasha With An Elephant in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 529,250.00 (€ 600,540.11).
