Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master, Modern & Contemporary Prints, including Property from the Estate of Ernst Beyeler, which included the work The Holy Family (B. 25) by Jacopo de' Barbari. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,808.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo de' Barbari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Albrecht Of Brandenburg (1490-1545) in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,448,750.00 (€ 1,616,582.53).
