Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two loggerhead shrikes on a reed cage, apples, peaches, grapes, pears, red berries and cherries together with flowers hanging from a vase, a butterfly and great tits, all on a marble ledge by Jacobus Vonck was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2010. The price achieved of EUR 37,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacobus Vonck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo, A Golden Pheasant, A Cardinal And A Toucan In A Landscape in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 170,220.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two loggerhead shrikes on a reed cage, apples, peaches, grapes, pears, red berries and cherries together with flowers hanging from a vase, a butterfly and great tits, all on a marble ledge von Jacobus Vonck kam im November 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 37.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacobus Vonck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo, A Golden Pheasant, A Cardinal And A Toucan In A Landscape im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 170.220,97).
