Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jacob van Strij; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Southern Hilly Landscape With Shepherds Resting With Their Herd, A View Of Ruins Beyond sold at auction in November 2008 with the realized price of EUR 13,750.00.
