Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A man wearing a coat and fur hat, half length by Jacob van Strij was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,875.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob van Strij have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Southern Hilly Landscape With Shepherds Resting With Their Herd, A View Of Ruins Beyond in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A man wearing a coat and fur hat, half length von Jacob van Strij kam im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.875,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob van Strij auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Southern Hilly Landscape With Shepherds Resting With Their Herd, A View Of Ruins Beyond im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
