Auction result well in line with expectations

Wierikx's barque 'Reijerwaard' in the harbor of Manilla by Jacob Spin was sold in the Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2011. The price achieved of EUR 1,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Other works by Jacob Spin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2008 the work The sailing frigate 'Johanna' in calm water was auctioned for EUR 3,000.00.
