Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work The 'Johan Melchior Kemper' At Anchor By Rotterdam Harbour by Jacob Spin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,553.50 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jacob Spin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2008 the work The sailing frigate 'Johanna' in calm water was auctioned for EUR 3,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The 'Johan Melchior Kemper' At Anchor By Rotterdam Harbour von Jacob Spin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.553,50 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jacob Spin konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2008 die Arbeit The sailing frigate 'Johanna' in calm water für EUR 3.000,00 versteigert.
