Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The threemaster Princes Sophia on a choppy sea by Jacob Spin was sold in the European Noble and Private Collections auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,560.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jacob Spin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2008 the work The sailing frigate 'Johanna' in calm water was auctioned for EUR 3,000.00.

Die Arbeit The threemaster Princes Sophia on a choppy sea von Jacob Spin wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion European Noble and Private Collections bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.560,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
