Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Purple and white flowers by Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 660.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A quiet afternoon in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 41,125.00 (€ 17,995.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Purple and white flowers von Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 660,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A quiet afternoon im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 41.125,00 (€ 17.995,50).
