In January 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work In the study by Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,400.00 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A quiet afternoon in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 41,125.00 (€ 17,995.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the study von Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.400,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A quiet afternoon im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 41.125,00 (€ 17.995,50).
