Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jacob de Backer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2015. In the Renaissance auction, the work The Last Judgment sold for USD 269,000.00 (€ 238,263.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jacob de Backer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Liberation of Saint Peter sold at auction in June 2020 with the realized price of USD 399,000.00 (€ 355,266.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob de Backer erzielte im Januar 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Renaissance wurde die Arbeit The Last Judgment für USD 269.000,00 (€ 238.263,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jacob de Backer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Liberation of Saint Peter im Juni 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 399.000,00 (€ 355.266,67).
