Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Adam And Eve by Jacob de Backer was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 42,000.00 (€ 31,065.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob de Backer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Liberation of Saint Peter in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 399,000.00 (€ 355,266.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Adam And Eve von Jacob de Backer wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
