Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jack Butler Yeats could be acquired at Bonhams in Dublin in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Irish SaleVision & Voice auction, the work Self-Portrait 26.6 x 36.6 cm. (10 1/2 x 14 3/8 in.) (sheet); 18.9 x 28.1 cm. (7 3/8 x 11 in.) (image) changed hands for EUR 6,400.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Butler Yeats achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Whistle of a Jacket in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,103,750.00 (€ 1,850,462.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jack Butler Yeats konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Dublin für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice wechselte die Arbeit Self-Portrait 26.6 x 36.6 cm. (10 1/2 x 14 3/8 in.) (sheet); 18.9 x 28.1 cm. (7 3/8 x 11 in.) (image) für EUR 6.400,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Butler Yeats erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Whistle of a Jacket im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.103.750,00 (€ 1.850.462,00).
