Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Dublin held the auction The Irish SaleVision & Voice, which included the work A pair of horses and riders 10 x 17 cm. (4 x 6 3/4 in.); 10.5 x 17.5 cm. (4 1/8 x 7 in.) (2) by Jack Butler Yeats. The price achieved of EUR 1,280.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Butler Yeats achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Whistle of a Jacket in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,103,750.00 (€ 1,850,462.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Dublin die Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice durch, in der auch die Arbeit A pair of horses and riders 10 x 17 cm. (4 x 6 3/4 in.); 10.5 x 17.5 cm. (4 1/8 x 7 in.) (2) von Jack Butler Yeats zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.280,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Butler Yeats erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Whistle of a Jacket im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.103.750,00 (€ 1.850.462,00).
